About

Osvaldo Nunez

I am a journalist in New York City currently writing trendy news for IBT Media's Design & Trend site. My experience there has gotten me well-acquainted with the AP Style of Journalism. I have written more than 1000 articles for the site.

In 2013, I was an editorial intern at Thrillist Media Group. I wrote and pitched 100-150 word pieces on apparel and technology. I essentially learned how to write good copy, great headlines, and how to effectively condense heavy information into 100-150 words.

This experience led to the creation of my own self-growth blog, Live Lesium, where I implemented my gains from Thrillist, resulting in a successful first month where I brought in more than 7000 unique visitors and many shares on Facebook and Twitter.

I was involved with a non-profit organization called Herstory Writer’s Workshop, which stood against domestic violence towards women. One of my works, “Page One Moment”, was chosen to be read at its yearly gala at Stony Brook University.

I am currently a senior English major at SUNY College at Old Westbury. I also studied Journalism in London for a semester. Fluent in Spanish.
